of training operation, working and servicing of the power plants Fuel Oil system, Cooling systems were stressed. Power synchronization
after generation and transmission were also studied during the course of training.

Working in a Project CollabCAD as CAD/CAM Engineer (Testing & Solid Modeling). CollabCAD is a
Java 2 based distributed 2D&3D CAD/CAM and CAE software system being developed by the Computer Aided Design Group of National
Informatics Centre, the IT Support professionals from India. CollabCAD is being developed using Java3D, RMI and is based on
a 3-tier distributed computing architecture. It uses open software standards (OpenCASCADE 3D modeling engine, J.Peterson Speech
API, OZONE ODBMS Database, JPython/Jacl Client-side Scripting) to achieve inter application operability. The software uses
CVW for collaborative functionalitys like video, voice, text, and white-board conferencing. It is to be implemented on ISO
10303 [STEP] standards for product data exchanges.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and testing the features of Collabcad software.
- Demo/presentations of CollabCAD software to the Visitors/Clients.
- Making of Part drawing in CollabCAD for clients.
- Reporting of Errors and PTRs .
- Making of Standard Library Components. Some of the standard Rivets made as library parts are countersunk head angle
120 degrees, mushroom head, pan head, snap head etc.
- Making of Python script files for Part creations. Tool to enhance productivity and efficiency, which is a part of Software
CollabCAD.
- Involved in Preparation of Tolerance/tables (Design Databases) using MSQL.

Design and Fabrication of Venturi Scrubbers
This is a device, which uses a filter/scrubbing
liquid/chemicals to clean flue gases. The system was designed to be Eco-friendly and cost effective. The amount of purification
levels attained where equal to that of the Pollution Control Board Standards for a small-scale industry. The scrubber uses
a grid filer, fabric filter and water spray system for the purification in the Venturi.
